They pray "Please God, let him spit that uzi and the army linin'."

Jesus Christ! So much drama over Drake and other new rappers!...All this hype is making me sick, it's just disgusting! Hip Hop died a long time ago along with real rappers like Biggie, Pac, Eazy, L, Pun, and groups like Public Enemy, De La Soul and Wu Tang...But honestly all this mainstream is just destroying the name of what it once was...Shit I bet half the world is gonna be mad at me for saying this but it's just the way I feel. Stupid beats, Ignorant lyrics and a repetitive chorus is not gonna make you a good rapper, but apparently it will get you a record deal and a fucking platinum album. Like immortal technique said on Industrial Revolution "Fuck the records you sold, cause if you go platinum, It's got nothing to do with luck. It just means that a million people are stupid as fuck." Now some other artists were once great but sell out and change over the years...I know people might say "Oh you can't play the same stuff forever, it gets repetitive and everyone changes." It's kind of true, I mean I guess you gotta move on, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you should forget about your roots and the things that got you were you are...Sometimes I can't help but contrast and compare, when I listen to artists like Nas, Three Six, or Snoop...I just start thinking to myself "Damn, they've changed..." If you compared their new stuff to their old stuff you'd think they're different people because is just not the same...Don't tell me to let go of the past because some of the things we had back then were better than the shit we have now, in this case being music. I don't know man, I just think this shit is depressing, and because of this I try to stay away from mainstream and hyped up artists and bands...Luckily there's still a few rappers who I really respect for their talent and guts. They show commitment to sticking to Hip Hop for love and not for a top chart or record sales...Because of this I admire rappers like Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique and others...because these motherfuckers would never bite their tongues for anyone! and will always speak freely through their lyrics. It's Because of lyrics like this that I give these niggas mad props;

"Obnoxious nigga, murderous lyrics
I know that you hear it
now that I'm getting closer and closer I know that you feel it.
your eating off rap, and I hope you choke on your gimmick
niggas said hip hop was dead but I awoken the spirit
we're taking it, back in the day to the golden age
when wack motherfuckers used to get thrown off of stage.
Immortal Technique, I made this the bump in your ride
or burn it off the internet, and bump it outside."

Haha that shit is just Ill...Anyways I think I've talked enough, I just felt like I had to get this out of my system, if you agree with me then good, you appreciate real music if you don't? Then fuck you "I just had to get this stress off my chest like breast reductions".

Today Was A Good Day.

Today I didn't go to conditioning cause I didn't feel too well...but I ended up going out to eat with my little brother...even though it sounds weird today was one of those few days were I actually fell like an older brother. Haha it's kinda nice to bond with him since we're not as close as we used to be when we were younger. Besides that I watched both "Person" and the first season of "Important things" by Demetri Martin...needless to say, he is definitely my favorite comedian and even though I spent about 4 hours in my couch, they were totally worth it! :)

Love Rain.

In stretched my arms towards the sky like blades of tall grass
The sun beat in between my shoulders like carnival drums
I sat still in hopes that it would help my wings grow
So then I would really be fly
And then she arrived
Like day break inside a railway tunnel
Like the new moon, like a diamond in the mines
Like high noon to a drunkard, sudden
She made my heart beat in a now-now time signature
Her skinny canvas for ultraviolet brushstrokes
She was the sun's painting
She was a deep cognac color
Her eyes sparkled like lights along the new city
She lips pursed as if her breath was too sweet
And full for her mouth to hold
I said,"You are beautiful,distress of mathematics."
I said,"For you, I would peel open the clouds like new fruit."
And give you lightning and thunder as dowry
I would make the sky shed all of its stars like rain
I would clasp the constellations around your waist
And I would make the heavens your cape
And they would be please to cover you
They would be pleased to cover you
May I please,cover you,please.
